Dynamic Image Setup

Dynamic Images allow for real-time triggering of visual icons using dynamic SQL so that a specific Icon is displayed when a condition is met. The conditions and the icons are determined during the setup.

Common conditions would be to identify a customer as:

  • a member or a type of member.
  • a subscriber.
  • a donor, possibly by level of donation.
  • an event registrant (future event).
  • a certification candidate, or by level of certification.

To set-up dynamic images, go to Admin › Customers › User Interface Controls › Dynamic Images

  • The supported contexts are:
    • Null – the image shows on the
      • customer Masterfile.
      • customer lookup.
      •  employee listing.
      •  back-office event registration page.
      •  back-office expo registration page.
    • RFL -the image shows in the referral directory.
    • HIDE -turns “off” the image logic.
  • To use a custom image
    • Specify the virtual path in the ‘Display Image’ field.
      • This is the location of the image uploaded to the server.
        • It should match the exact destination
          • /images/My_Images/image.jpg  –
            •  Note: filepaths are case-senstive. (replace image.jpg with your filename if you have used the My Images folder)
  • Please ask an ACGI services or support professional for a listing of the standard images used as Dynamic Images in Association Anywhere.
  • Icons that are no greater than 40×40 pixels can be uploaded.
  • The following is a list of example images in the SEED database which are appropriate for use.  These may be referenced in the server using the following relative path convention:  /images/virtual_lnk/40×40/<filename>
